Reasons to be thankful

With Thanksgiving approaching, November reminds us to share what we are thankful for with the world. So many reasons and experiences happen throughout the year, that give us something to be thankful for and remind us that we are so lucky. We will first start by saying that we are so thankful for our amazing clients that we have had the pleasure of getting to work with this year. We have worked so hard making this years weddings beautiful and amazing. Thank you for allowing us to be apart of your special day and sharing the love from your families and friends.

We wait anxiously for the new engagements and new wedding inspirations.

Oatmeal

          We all have noticed a huge change for many years now, ivory is in. Ivory really has its huge benefits. It is a very flattering color on most skin tones, if not all. It can be for every bride: traditional, contemporary, fashion forward or vintage, there are many reasons for choosing ivory, all good ones.

          Now, bridal has taken it in a new direction. Above is an example of two Watters gowns "Palm Springs" and "Olivia" in oatmeal. This high fashion approach screams Couture! We absolutely love everything about these dresses. They definitely have the WOW factor every bride wants. The gowns are also available in ivory and in white for those of you still wanting to keep some tradition, but the new oatmeal color definitely can be the center of attention at your wedding. Colors that compliment this look are browns, soft pinks and neutrals, for a softer tone. Also, looks great with pops of color such as bright pinks and purples. This shade is perfect for fall or any season.

         In our inspiration board above, we have shown both dresses paired up with accessories, flowers and ideas for some of the little details that surround your wedding. Easily, these two dresses help our imagination run wild with ideas. We are so looking forward to the upcoming Brides who are taking on this look!

In September, we had our annual visit to the 2011 Chicago Bridal Market. Bridal market is fashion week for all bridal & special occasion fashion trends. We get a sneak peak at the upcoming spring fashions.. Not only from the top bridal gown manufactures, but bridesmaids and mother of the bride, flower girl, accessories, prom, quinceañera and special occasion as well. So... Since we can't wait we are going to share some of our inspirations and ideas for the current and upcoming trends!
